HOW THERAPY CAN HELP

A Space For Quieting Your Mind & Reconnecting To Yourself

Anxiety tries to convince you that you’re not safe – in your body, your relationships, and your future. In therapy, it’s not about getting “rid of” your anxiety completely, rather about helping you feel more grounded and capable, even when anxiety does show up.

With the right support, you can:

-Understand the themes of your anxiety

-Learn to work with anxiety, not against it

-Practice skills to calm your nervous system

-Build confidence in handling uncertainty and change

-Let go of perfectionism

-Identify unhelpful thinking patterns

-Improve symptoms such as poor sleep, digestive issues, and fatigue

"I’ve worked with Dr. Meg for several years, starting in high school, where she helped me balance school and relationships. She is really warm and genuine, and I always feel comfortable opening up to her. Lately, she’s helped me adjust to all the life changes that have come with transitioning to college, and her support has made the process feel so much more manageable."

HOW I WORK

I bring a warm and relational approach to therapy that’s grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches are especially effective in helping clients understand and manage the patterns that fuel anxiety, like avoidance, rumination, and catastrophic thinking.

In therapy, we’ll work together to slow things down and bring awareness to what’s happening in your mind and body when anxiety takes over. You’ll learn how to notice anxious thoughts without getting swept away by them, develop tools to tolerate uncertainty, and build confidence in your ability to cope, even when things feel unpredictable or overwhelming.
