Online Therapy For Young Adults In California
Mental Health Services To Help Young Adults Feel Seen & Supported
Feeling like adulthood is ... a lot? You’re not alone!
Your 20s and 30s can be full of exciting changes: new cities, new jobs, new relationships, and a sense of independence you’ve never had before. But they can also be really disorienting, full of uncertainty, and so confusing. Somehow you’re expected to know how to pay your taxes, keep up with friends across the country, stay active, and have answers to big questions like “Is this what I’m supposed to be doing with my life?”.
If that sounds like you, if you’re feeling burnt out, tired of pretending, or just need a place where you don’t have to keep it together, therapy can really help. I specialize in online therapy for young adults in California – a space where you can show up exactly as you are– no pressure, no pretending
WHERE I CAN HELP
Therapy To Help You Navigate The Messiness Of Early Adulting
You did it - you’re finally adulting! You’re out of college, doing the things you’re “supposed” to be doing like working, paying off loans, and making new friends. But instead of feeling free or settled, you’re constantly stressed, second-guessing your choices or just … exhausted.
And on top of that, you’re starting to look back at your childhood and reflecting on how you were raised, what you believe, what you value, and what you want your life to actually look like.
In many cases, this stage of life also involves navigating a lot of in-between spaces. You love your parents AND you resent the pressure they put on you. You’re grateful for your job AND you’re questioning if it’s what you really want. You want connection AND you're learning how to protect your peace.
As a whole, learning to navigate adulthood can feel overwhelming. Here are some of the things I can help you address:
Perfectionism and imposter syndrome
Fear of failure or pressure to live up to your potential
Anxiety in the workplace, relationships, finances, life decisions, and the future
Burnout from doing too much and struggling to set boundaries
Ongoing struggles with disordered eating or body image
Obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors eating up your time and energy
Depression, shame and a harsh inner critic that keeps wearing you down
Emotional avoidance or difficulty managing overwhelming feelings
Difficulties with transitioning into new responsibilities and work life routines
Unresolved family wounds and finding distance when needed
Questions around your values, identity, life direction or what truly matters to you
Feeling lost, stuck or in search of deeper purpose/truth/meaning
THE BENEFITS OF THERAPY
Your Space To Sort Through The Noise & Find Clarity
Early adulthood is full of endless decisions: where to live, what to do, who to be. Through therapy, my goal is to help you slow down, disconnect from the pressure of what you think you should be accomplishing, and give you the freedom to explore who you are and which values you want to build your life on.
This isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding and supporting you as you create a life that reflects your values, your needs, and your story.
Over time, therapy can help you:
Feel more grounded in your emotions and decisions
Navigate family relationships with more clarity and less guilt
Set healthy boundaries without fear or shame
Manage anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt in your work and personal life
Explore your identity beyond what you were taught or expected to be
Let go of people-pleasing and connect to what is most important to you
Heal from past wounds while still honoring the relationships you care about
Understand your values and how to align your choices with them
Trust yourself in making decisions about career, love, or the future
HOW I WORK
Authentic Evidence-Based Therapy For Young Adults in California
My therapy style is warm, collaborative and down-to-earth. I’m not here to lecture or fix you. I’m here to listen, support and help you make sense of what’s going on in your life. Together, we’ll explore your story, identify unhelpful patterns, and build emotional tools that actually make your life better.
In my work, I draw from a variety of different therapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. That being said, each person is unique and we will tailor therapy to fit your unique needs.
This is a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to show up – and we’ll take it from there.

“Meghan is a very supportive therapist. She has a knack for seeing her clients through complex situations with empathy and attuned guidance. While working beside her as a colleague I noticed how her experience treating eating disorders and body image challenges translated to creative, strength-based interventions that helped clients see themselves and their struggles with greater compassion.”

A NOTE FOR PARENTS
What You Can Expect From Therapy
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re already juggling a million things. Here’s what the process looks like so you know exactly what to expect:
1. Start with a free intro call
We’ll kick things off with a short consultation to talk about what’s going on and see if we’re a good fit. No pressure or commitment, just a chance to connect, ask questions and get a feel for things.
2. Let’s meet you where you are at
In our first sessions, we’ll explore what you’ve been going through and get clear on what you want from therapy. All sessions are held online. You can join from anywhere you have privacy & a stable internet connection.
3. Grow at your own pace
From there, we’ll work on building helpful tools, insight, and self-trust. Whether it’s managing stress, setting boundaries, or quieting your inner critic, therapy is here to support you, now and in the long run.
